The good news for Bradley Center is that it rose 11 spots after an impressive win Friday to move to No. 24 in the Tennessee MaxPreps Top 25 high school football computer rankings. The bad news is it now gets No. 2 Maryville in the 6A-Division I playoffs.
Bradley Center avenged an earlier loss to Farragut with a 17-14 win on Friday to advance to second round play. They scored a fourth quarter touchdown while holding the 2016 state champions to just 14 points, 29 below what it had been averaging the last three weeks.
Maryville improved to 12-0 with a forfeit win over Science Hill.
No. 3 Christ Presbyterian Academy scored four touchdowns in the first quarter, led 44-0 at halftime en route to a 50-14 win over Silverdale Academy in a Division II-AA first-round playoff game. Six different players scored touchdowns for the winners and

Top-ranked Brentwood Academy had the week off but plays No. 6 Pope John Paul II in Tennessee's top game of the week.
Outside of Bradley Center, the only other team to enter the Top 25 from last week is No. 21 Independence, which rose six spots to No. 21 following a 49-14 6A-I playoff win over LaVergne.
