Mundy's Mill took down Mt. Zion 49-2 last week, the largest margin of any game. Rodricous Gates threw for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns and caught 1 pass for 14 yards in the win.
Dejuan Simms was a passing and rushing force as Forest Park lost to Drew.
Gates put up the best numbers in passing as the Tigers bested the Bulldogs. Gates' favorite target this week was Marquis Kempson, who caught 2 passes for 36 yards.
Drew's Brandon Pearson and Damarco Smith led AAAAA Region 4A in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Pearson has thrown for 1,170 yards this season, while Smith has 22 catches for 338 yards. The Panthers' Simms leads the league in rushing yards with 497.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Jarrett Laws' team's Smith goes up against Mundy's Mill's Devonte Haley.
Next week's game between Drew and the Tigers will feature an aerial matchup as Pearson tests his arm against Haley's defensive ability.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Drew takes on Mundy's Mill. Drew is in second place, while the Tigers are in third place.
The league will see a high scoring game when Drew and Mundy's Mill face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Drew comes in having scored 90 this season, while the Tigers have scored 102. Drew scored 27 points last week as it topped Forest Park.
Ola made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,903 from 9,306. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 16-14 victory over the Mustangs last week.
