The Littleton Lions had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 51-43 victory over Northglenn. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Littleton also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Among those leading the charge was Treyton Fletcher, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Alexander, who scored 9 points along with 11 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Northglenn lost, one person who can't be blamed is Trevor Dean. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds. Dean scored a full 27.9% of Northglenn's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jacob Martin was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 10 rebounds.
Littleton's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Northglenn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Littleton will face off against Denver West at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northglenn, they will take on Westminster at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
