With a playoff win on the line, Mammoth rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Trona Tornadoes 60-16. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won eight games by 28 points or more so far this season.

Mammoth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eli Ericson, who threw for 187 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 101 yards and one score on only 13 carries. Those four passing touchdowns gave Ericson a new career-high. Chip Hernandez was in the mix too, providing Mammoth with one touchdown.

Mammoth didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Trona to a completion percentage of just 31.6%. The Huskies hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.55 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Mammoth didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut DJ Gray. Mammoth received some extra help from Hernandez, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Mammoth's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.3 points on average over those games. As for Trona, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Mammoth has already played their next game, a 38-33 loss against Immanuel Christian on the 14th. Trona does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
