The Hagerty Huskies won the last time they faced the Lyman Greyhounds, and things went their way on Monday too. Hagerty secured a 52-46 W over Lyman. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Hagerty has scored all year.
Hagerty was led to victory by Asa Kohn and Alex Dipaolo. Kohn scored 14 points, while Dipaolo scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Dipaolo scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Julian Declou, who scored eight points.
Lyman's loss came despite strong showings from Max Mattingly and Brock Masters. Mattingly scored eight points along with ten rebounds and six steals, while Masters scored 12 points. Masters also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarius Joyner, who scored eight points.
Hagerty's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Lyman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Hagerty won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against East River at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. East River is on a three-game streak of home wins, Hagerty a six-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Lyman will take on Pine Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pine Ridge and Lyman are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
