2A District 2 recap October 22, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A District 2 this week, Owensboro Catholic beat Union County 27-26. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Hancock County and Todd County Central played the closest game in the league this week, with Hancock County eventually emerging with a 14-13 victory. Beau Case ran for 36 yards and caught 5 passes for 91 yards during the win.
Hancock County's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Koert Morris has thrown for 776 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Case has 18 catches for 415 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when McLean County takes on Owensboro Catholic. As it stands, the Cougars are in fourth, while John Edge's team is in second.
