Football Recap: Omaha Westside Piles Up the Points Against Kearney

Omaha Westside extended their postseason success on Friday against Kearney. They breezed past the Bearcats to the tune of 35-7. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Tay Tay Jenkins was his usual excellent self, rushing for 202 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September. Bryson Williams was in the mix as well, providing Omaha Westside with two TDs.

The victory (which was Omaha Westside's sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average over those games. As for Kearney, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

Coming up, Omaha Westside will challenge Millard South on Friday. The Patriots' defense has only allowed 2.1 points per game this season, so the Warriors' offense will have their work cut out for them. Kearney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
