It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Thunderbird Titans can now relate to. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 31-28. Thunderbird's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Thunderbird still got an impressive performance from Elijah Little, who rushed for 314 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. Little really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run. Brian Costa also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Leading Arcadia to victory were Braylen Rooney and Brady Forst. Rooney rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown, while Forst rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Forst is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last ten games he's played.
Thunderbird's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Arcadia, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0.
Thunderbird does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Arcadia will face off against Yuma Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Yuma Catholic: 12.9, Arcadia: 14.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
