Amare Cockfield was his usual excellent self, scoring 35 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Javaris Spencer, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, University's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Weaver 74-45.
Capital Prep pushed their record up to 7-8 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for University, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
