The Clinton Dragons''s four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They blew past Karns 48-18 at home. The result was nothing new for Clinton, who have now won three contests by 30 points or more so far this season.
Clinton had a senior duo take command as Jawan Goins gained 118 total yards and three touchdowns and Joshuah Keith threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. Bryson Maddox was another key contributor, picking up 93 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Although Karns took the loss, they still got scores from Kareem Ellis, Alex Idol, and Frank Niyonyishu.
Clinton's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Karns, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will take on Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Heritage is ranked 116th, while Clinton is ranked 104th). As for Karns, they will be playing at home against Lenoir City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lenoir City is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
