Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM) boosters exited the stadium happy Tuesday as they saw their soccer squad knock off the host Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM), 2-0 in a league outing.

The Hawks (12-3) will now prepare for their outing against Gadsden (Anthony, NM). The Panthers enter the 5A District 3 outing with a 12-5 record. In their last outing, Gadsden tipped Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM), 1-0, in a league outing.

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Alamogordo Tigers (Alamogordo, NM) in a 5A District 3 test, on Thursday, October 16. Mayfield will attempt to move on its 9-8 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 5-11 record after their 10-0 league loss to Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM).
