Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team hold off the visiting Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Las Cruces, NM), 1-0 in a league outing.

The Panthers (12-5) will now prepare for their outing against Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Hawks enter the 5A District 3 outing with a 12-3 record. In their last outing, Centennial tipped Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM), 2-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Bulldawgs confront the Organ Mountain Knights (Las Cruces, NM) in a 5A District 3 test, on Thursday, October 16. Las Cruces will attempt to move on its 8-8 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 15-2 record after their 10-0 league win over Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM).
