In Friday's league challenge, the visiting Cowanesque Valley Indians football team scored a big 60-0 win over the Northwest Area Rangers.

In their next game, the Indians play the North Penn-Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 18. Cowanesque Valley will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Tigers go into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 58-10 league loss to Troy (Troy, PA).

The Rangers (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Wellsboro (Wellsboro, PA). The Hornets come into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Wellsboro triumphed over Canton (Canton, PA), 49-7, in a league test.
