Homer-Center Wildcats (Homer City, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northern Cambria Colts (Northern Cambria, PA), 8-3 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host River Valley for a Heritage challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Homer-Center will face a Panthers squad coming off a 8-5 league loss to Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Northern Cambria falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Colts host United (Armagh, PA) to face the Lions in a Heritage challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. United lost 15-11 in their recent non-league challenge against Rockwood (Rockwood, PA)
