The Anderson County Mavericks softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting West Rebels to 0 in the Mavericks non-league win on Thursday.
The Mavericks now sport a 16-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gibbs for a 3A District 4 battle on Monday, May 4. Anderson County will confront a Eagles team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Maryville (Maryville, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 27-14.
With the loss, West moves to 16-12 on the season.
