The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Rivera Raiders (Brownsville, TX) and the host Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX), observed Rivera's basketball team edge Weslaco East by a score of 45-38.

The Raiders (18-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX). The Hawks come into the 5A Region IV District 32 challenge with a 26-7 record. In their last challenge, Harlingen South edged Donna North (Donna, TX), 74-25, in a league challenge.

Next up, the Wildcats meet the Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 battle, on Friday, February 13. Weslaco East will attempt to advance on its 15-19 season record. The Vikings enter the battle with a 13-17 record after their 45-37 league loss to Mercedes (Mercedes, TX).
