The McMullen County Cowboys basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Banquete Bulldogs to 31 in the Cowboys non-league triumph on Monday.

The Cowboys now have a 16-4 record. They play next when they host Premont for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 30. McMullen County will face a Cowboys squad coming off a 48-22 league loss to Kaufer (Riviera, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 3-6.

The Bulldogs (9-7) will now prepare for their outing against Calallen (Corpus Christi, TX). The Wildcats enter the non-league outing with a 11-10 record. In their last outing, Calallen routed Sinton (Sinton, TX), 43-30, in a non-league game.
