The Panthers (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX). The Bobcats enter the 6A Region I District 2 contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, San Angelo Central was trounced by Midland Legacy (Midland, TX), 58-42, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Bronchos confront the Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX) in a 6A Region I District 2 bout, on Friday, October 17. Odessa will attempt to advance on its 0-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 42-31 league loss to Frenship (Wolfforth, TX).
