The Canyon Cougars held off the host Flower Mound Jaguars volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Cougars now have a 21-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Creek for a non-league test on Friday, August 26. Canyon will confront a Lions team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Rouse (Leander, TX). The Lions record now stands at 8-6.

The Jaguars (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Friendswood (Friendswood, TX). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 16-5 record. In their last contest, Friendswood tipped Cedar Park (Cedar Park, TX), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
