Austin Staley has been named player of the year. "Austin has been a very important part of our team success this season. He has let our team in almost every individual stat this season. He has served as our team captain while helping the young guys on the team find there place within the ranks. He leads by his actions, which shine both on and off the field. He is a true leader and team player. He will, along with his senior teammates, be missed dearly. He has left his mark at Wilkes Central and will soon begin his journey into the college baseball ranks at North Carolina State University."
