Virginia High School Basketball - Pulaski County holds off Byrd
January 25, 2017: Dublin, VA 24084 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Pulaski County Cougars (Dublin, VA) and the visiting Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA), saw Pulaski County's basketball squad hold off Byrd by a tally of 48-45.
With the victory, Pulaski County improves its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA) to confront the Titans in a 3A Conference 32 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 13-7. Hidden Valley won 62-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA)
Next up, the Terriers confront the Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) in a 3A Conference 31 contest, on Tuesday, January 31. Byrd will attempt to better on its 13-8 season record. The Vikings come into the contest with a 15-4 record after their 91-37 league win over Staunton River (Moneta, VA).
