December 15, 2009: Silver Spring, MD 20906 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Washington Christian Academy (Silver Spring, MD) and the visiting Model School for the Deaf Eagles (Washington, DC), saw Washington Christian Academy's basketball squad knock off Model School for the Deaf by a score of 57-43.
With the victory, Washington Christian Academy improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The travel to Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD) to play the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 18. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 3-4.
Next up, the Eagles play the Takoma Academy Tigers (Takoma Park, MD) in a Maryland Independent Schools - South challenge, on Thursday, December 17. Model School for the Deaf will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 83-57 league win over Calverton (Huntingtown, MD).
