Illinois High School Basketball - Chaminade can't hold off St. Rita
January 11, 2015: Chicago, IL 60620 The St. Rita Mustangs basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the visiting Chaminade Red Devils to 75 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Sunday.
The Mustangs now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Laurence for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 13. St. Rita will battle a Vikings team coming off a 64-57 league loss to St. Ignatius (Chicago, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 8-7.
The Red Devils (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against St. Louis University (St. Louis, MO). The Junior Bills come into the Metro Catholic contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, St. Louis University was nudged by Christian Brothers (St. Louis, MO), 58-51, in a league contest.
