Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds (Winthrop, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Redwood Valley Cardinals (Redwood Falls, MN), 59-21 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Springfield (Springfield, MN) to play the Tigers in a Tomahawk bout on Friday, December 16. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 3-2. Springfield won 71-49 in their recent league bout against St. Mary's (Sleepy Eye, MN)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Luverne Cardinals (Luverne, MN) in a Big South - West bout, on Friday, December 16. Redwood Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
