The Deep Creek Hornets basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the visiting Granby Comets to 67 in the Hornets non-league victory on Thursday.

The Hornets now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Churchland for a 4A Conference 17 contest on Friday, January 15. Deep Creek will battle a Truckers team coming off a 77-68 non-league loss to Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA). The Truckers record now stands at 1-10.
