In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Monument Valley Mustangs (Kayenta, AZ) basketball squad nipped the visiting Whitehorse Raiders (Montezuma Creek, UT), by a margin of 56-50.

The Mustangs (9-3) will now prepare for their outing against Window Rock (Fort Defiance, AZ). The Fighting Scouts go into the 3A North outing with a 3-10 record. In their last outing, Window Rock was tipped by Chinle (Chinle, AZ), 71-55, in a league outing.

The Raiders now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Green River for a 1A Region 19 outing on Friday, January 29.
