Indiana High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon holds off Anderson

December 4, 2018: Fortville, IN 46040

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) and the visiting Anderson Indians (Anderson, IN), saw Mt. Vernon's basketball squad hold off Anderson by a tally of 64-63.

With the victory, Mt. Vernon improves its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Marauders travel to Yorktown (Yorktown, IN) to confront the Tigers in a Hoosier Heritage challenge on Saturday, December 8. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Yorktown won 37-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Monroe Central (Parker City, IN)

Next up, the Indians confront the Indianapolis Arsenal Technical Titans (Indianapolis, IN) in a North Central challenge, on Friday, December 7. Anderson will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 28-17 non-league loss to Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory (Indianapolis, IN).
