December 28, 2010: Lafayette, LA 70506 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA) and the visiting Northwest Raiders (Opelousas, LA), saw Lafayette's basketball squad knock off Northwest by a score of 47-34.
With the victory, Lafayette improves its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Jennings (Jennings, LA) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 4. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 14-4. Jennings won 57-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Carroll (Monroe, LA)
Next up, the Raiders battle the Church Point Bears (Church Point, LA) in a 3A District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 7. Northwest will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 50-30 non-league loss to New Iberia (New Iberia, LA).
