California High School Basketball - Dougherty Valley holds off Clayton Valley
January 31, 2012: San Ramon, CA 94582 Dougherty Valley Wildcats (San Ramon, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Clayton Valley Eagles (Concord, CA), 56-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Dougherty Valley upgrades its record to 13-8 on the season. The Wildcats host Acalanes (Lafayette, CA) to battle the Dons in a Diablo Foothill challenge on Friday, February 3. The Dons come into the challenge with a record of 13-9. Acalanes lost 75-72 in their recent league challenge against Campolindo (Moraga, CA)
Next up, the Eagles battle the College Park Falcons (Pleasant Hill, CA) in a Diablo Valley challenge, on Friday, February 3. Clayton Valley will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 54-49 league win over Concord (Concord, CA).
