Rossville Hornets (Rossville, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Western Panthers (Russiaville, IN), 69-64 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rossville upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Carroll (Flora, IN) to play the Cougars in a Hoosier Heartland - West bout on Friday, December 16. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 1-2. Carroll lost 50-43 in their recent non-league bout against Cass (Walton, IN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Hamilton Heights Huskies (Arcadia, IN) in a Hoosier - East bout, on Friday, December 16. Western will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Huskies come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 60-55 non-league win over Delta (Muncie, IN).
