Michigan High School Basketball - Portland prevails Grand Ledge
January 11, 2011: Grand Ledge, MI 48837 Portland Raiders (Portland, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Grand Ledge Comets (Grand Ledge, MI), 69-60 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Portland upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Raiders host Perry (Perry, MI) to encounter the Ramblers in a Capital Area - White bout on Friday, January 14. The Ramblers go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Perry lost 59-44 in their recent non-league bout against Owosso (Owosso, MI)
Next up, the Comets encounter the Eastern Quakers (Lansing, MI) in a Capital Area - Blue bout, on Friday, January 14. Grand Ledge will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Quakers go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 77-49 league win over Jackson (Jackson, MI).
