The Don Bosco Dons basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Alburnett Pirates to 40 in the Dons non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Dons now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Meskwaki Settlement for a non-league contest on Friday, January 28. Don Bosco will meet a team coming off a 54-45 non-league loss to Colo-NESCO (Colo, IA). The record now stands at 7-9.

The Pirates (2-14) will now prepare for their contest against East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA). The Buccaneers enter the Tri-Rivers - Valley contest with a 4-12 record. In their last contest, East Buchanan ran past Central City (Central City, IA), 34-32, in a league contest.
