Texas High School Basketball - Manvel thwarts Lubbock
November 14, 2008: Lubbock, TX 79401 The Manvel Mavericks (Manvel, TX) basketball felled the host Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX), 44-32 in Friday's non-league test.
The Mavericks (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Corsicana (Corsicana, TX). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Corsicana went down by McKinney (McKinney, TX), 61-58, in a non-league test.
The Westerners now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Snyder for a non-league test on Tuesday, November 18. Lubbock will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 41-39 non-league loss to Big Spring (Big Spring, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.
