The North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA) basketball crushed the host Line Mountain Eagles (Herndon, PA), 78-55 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Spartans (13-6) will now prepare for their test against Pottsville (Pottsville, PA). The Crimson Tide go into the Schuylkill County 1 test with a 18-2 record. In their last test, Pottsville was trounced by Emmaus (Emmaus, PA), 43-36, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now own a 3-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Halifax for a Tri-Valley test on Monday, February 6. Line Mountain will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 66-43 league loss to Newport (Newport, PA). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-13.
