In Friday's non-league outing, the Hays Rebels (Buda, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX), by a count of 59-51.

The Rebels (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Rouse (Leander, TX). The Raiders go into the non-league outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, Rouse defeated Madison (San Antonio, TX), 60-52, in a non-league outing.
