Hillgrove Hawks (Powder Springs, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting North Cobb Warriors (Kennesaw, GA), 59-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hillgrove upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Hawks host Sequoyah (Canton, GA) to play the Chiefs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 13. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Sequoyah won 68-58 in their recent non-league bout against Pickens (Jasper, GA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Etowah Eagles (Woodstock, GA) in a 5-AAAAA bout, on Tuesday, January 13. North Cobb will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 72-71 non-league loss to Blessed Trinity (Roswell, GA).
