Rhode Island High School Basketball - Exeter-West Greenwich crushes Portsmouth
February 23, 2012: West Greenwich, RI 02817 Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights (West Greenwich, RI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Portsmouth Patriots (Portsmouth, RI), 74-24 in a league bout.
With the victory, Exeter-West Greenwich upgrades its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Scarlet Knights travel to Cranston West (Cranston, RI) to play the Falcons in a Division I - South bout on Friday, February 24. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 9-12. Cranston West won 52-45 in their recent league bout against Coventry (Coventry, RI)
Next up, the Patriots play the South Kingstown Rebels (Wakefield, RI) in a Division I - South bout, on Friday, February 24. Portsmouth will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 7-13 record after their 48-46 league loss to Pilgrim (Warwick, RI).
