In their next game, the Lions face the Madras White Buffaloes (Madras, OR) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 9. Cottage Grove will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The White Buffaloes enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 14-0 non-league loss to The Dalles (The Dalles, OR).
The Cubs (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Elmira (Elmira, OR). The Falcons come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Elmira overwhelmed Siuslaw (Florence, OR), 35-14, in a non-league game.
