The Ankeny Hawks topped the host Urbandale J-Hawks basketball team by a final score of 49-35 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Hawks face the Southeast Polk Rams (Runnells, IA) in a Central Iowa Metro - Central test, on Tuesday, January 11. Ankeny will attempt to advance on its 11-0 season record. The Rams go into the test with a 10-1 record after their 47-41 league win over Dowling (West Des Moines, IA).

The J-Hawks now own a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Jefferson for a non-league test on Saturday, January 8. Urbandale will clash with a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 73-42 league loss to Bishop Heelan Catholic (Sioux City, IA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-6.
