Arkansas High School Basketball - Southside knocked off by Viola
December 6, 2018: Batesville, AR 72501 The Viola Longhorns basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Southside Southerners to 52 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Longhorns now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rural Special for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 11. Viola will meet a Rebels team coming off a 67-40 league win over Shirley (Shirley, AR). The Rebels record now stands at 13-4.
The Southerners (0-8) will now prepare for their contest against Valley View (Jonesboro, AR). The Blazers enter the 4A Region 3 contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Valley View was outscored by Batesville (Batesville, AR), 56-43, in a league contest.
