The Newburyport Clippers basketball team scored 74 points and held the host Amesbury Indians to 62 in the Clippers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Clippers now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Masconomet Regional for a Cape Ann - Large contest on Tuesday, January 3.

The Indians (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Rockport (Rockport, MA). The Vikings enter the Cape Ann - Small contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Rockport was defeated by Stoneham (Stoneham, MA), 64-30, in a non-league contest.
