Piedmont Highlanders (Piedmont, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Balboa Buccaneers (San Francisco, CA), 59-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Piedmont upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Carlmont (Belmont, CA) to encounter the Scots in a non-league bout on Friday, December 10. The Scots go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Buccaneers encounter the Jefferson Indians (Daly City, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 14. Balboa will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 56-55 non-league loss to Palo Alto (Palo Alto, CA).
