Texas High School Softball - Hebron holds off Arlington
February 16, 2012: Arlington, TX 76013 The Hebron Hawks the host Arlington Colts softball squad by a count of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Hawks (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Boswell (Fort Worth, TX). The Pioneers go into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.
The Colts now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Nolan Catholic for a non-league battle on Friday, February 17. Arlington will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 8-4 non-league loss to Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX). The Vikings record now stands at 1-1.

Deja Talton had a good game at the plate to help the Hebron Hawks to a 3-1 victory in seven innings over the Arlington Colts on Thursday at Mansfield Timberview HS.
Arlington Colts' pitchers couldn't stop Talton at the plate as she went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. Deja tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Chelsea Herndon baffled the Colts hitters, striking out six batters. The Hawks'Junior pitcher allowed no earned runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings.
K Potter was a workhorse on the rubber for Arlington. Potter pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and three walks while striking out five.
Hebron never surrendered the lead after the fifth inning, scoring two runs on 2 seperate errors. Herndon hit a towering fly ball to leftcenter field that was mishandled at the warning track and allowed Chelsea to go all the way.
