West Virginia High School Basketball - Tug Valley nips Notre Dame
February 3, 2018: Williamson, WV 25661 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Tug Valley Panthers (Williamson, WV) and the visiting Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Clarksburg, WV), saw Tug Valley's basketball squad hold off Notre Dame by a count of 67-66.
With the victory, Tug Valley upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Mingo Central (Matewan, WV) to play the Miners in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Miners come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Mingo Central lost 53-42 in their recent league challenge against Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV)
Next up, the Fighting Irish play the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs (Mill Creek, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Notre Dame will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 63-48 non-league win over Valley (Pine Grove, WV).
