California High School Softball - Buckley gets by Oakwood

April 14, 2010: Sherman Oaks, CA 91423

Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Buckley Griffins (Sherman Oaks, CA) and the visiting Oakwood Gorillas (North Hollywood, CA), witnessed Buckley's softball squad tip Oakwood by a count of 8-7.

The Griffins now sport a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Notre Dame Academy for a non-league match on Monday, April 19. Buckley will face a Regals squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to Immaculate Heart (Los Angeles, CA). The Regals record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, Oakwood moves to 3-4 on the season. The Gorillas host Santa Clarita Christian (Canyon Country, CA) to face the Cardinals in a Liberty match on Monday, April 19. The Cardinals go into the match with a record of 2-8. Santa Clarita Christian lost 29-3 in their recent non-league match against Vasquez (Acton, CA)
