California High School Basketball - Foothill nudges Berkeley
January 8, 2011: Berkeley, CA 94703 Foothill Mustangs (Sacramento, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA), 65-61 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Foothill upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Rio Linda (Rio Linda, CA) to encounter the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Rio Linda lost 52-38 in their recent non-league bout against Center (Antelope, CA)
Next up, the Yellowjackets encounter the Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA) in a Alameda Contra Costa bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Berkeley will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 76-67 league win over Richmond (Richmond, CA).
