Opelika Bulldogs (Opelika, AL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Valley Rams (Valley, AL), 54-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Opelika improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Auburn (Auburn, AL) to battle the Tigers in a 6A Area 5 battle on Friday, January 18. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 10-1. Auburn won 52-26 in their recent league battle against Smiths Station (Smiths, AL)
