Arizona High School Basketball - Paradise Valley overwhelmed by Chaparral

The Chaparral Firebirds basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Paradise Valley Trojans to 26 in the Firebirds league victory on Friday.

The Firebirds now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Queen Creek for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Chaparral will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 66-53 league loss to Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-8.

The Trojans (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ). The Saints come into the 5A Northeast Valley contest with a 10-13 record. In their last contest, Notre Dame Prep was routed by Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ), 56-18, in a league contest.
