The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ), saw Desert Vista's volleyball squad beat Red Mountain by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Desert Vista upgrades its record to 7-0 on the year. The Thunder travel to Saguaro (Scottsdale, AZ) to play the Sabercats in a non-league bout on Friday, September 11. The Sabercats go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Saguaro lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Sunnyslope (Phoenix, AZ)
