The Kirby Trojans basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the host Mount Ida Lions to 31 in the Trojans league victory on Friday.

The Trojans now sport a 20-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Emerson for a non-league contest on Friday, January 19.

The Lions (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Umpire (Umpire, AR). The Wildcats come into the 1A Region 7 West contest with a 1-14 record. In their last contest, Umpire was routed by Acorn (Mena, AR), 72-36, in a league contest.
